Amber Dickerson (she/her) joined The Urban Farming Institute (UFI) of Boston in 2021, and now serves as the Deputy Executive Director of the organization. She is a mission-driven Boston native, proud of her afro-indigenous roots, with experience in human services management and education. Dedicated to fostering an inclusive environment within the communities of Greater Boston, she has cultivated meaningful partnerships across businesses and organizations that share that intention. She has a passion for fortifying spaces committed to challenging food injustice and is enthusiastic about programs and training that promote equal access to nutritious eating options, and teach the importance of living a healthier, balanced lifestyle and how one can do so with dignity and autonomy. Prior to joining the team at UFI, she worked diligently with Boston Public Schools, The Learning Project, Partners In Health, and Action for Boston Community Development. She completed her B.A. at Wellesley College and went on to pursue a Master of Public Administration at Suffolk University. She is also an active member of Northeastern University's Community Advisory Board.
